I have spent most of my daughter's life trying to figure out what my "purpose" should be while I stay home with my child. I knew I wanted to be home with her and there is no place I would rather be, but I felt pressure to be more. Do more. That being a stay at home mom is lazy in some way.
Well that is crap. Being just a mom, it is hard. It is a lot of work but being with her fulfills me. It is harder than anything I have ever done and love it more than anything I have ever done. I have my days....oh are there days. But the awesome days....the happy days.....the fun days.....happen far more often than not and I am so proud to be Just Adriana's mom. And there is nothing I would rather be.
Amen Sista!
ReplyDeleteIf you have the guts for it, being an at home parent is the most important job you can do! Everything else, like laundry and cooking, is just gravy. These home-cooked kids are a big contribution to society, and life is long; we have plenty of time to find our next job!
